Privacy
Null collects nothing. It has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and it doesn't check for
updates. It will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless you ask it to.
What it contacts, and only when you ask
- The AI provider you choose, when AI is on and you use it (it's off until you turn it on):
the code and question you send go to that provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, Groq, Google, OpenRouter,
NVIDIA), or stay on your computer with Ollama. API keys are kept in your system's key store, never in a file.
- Language servers, when you click Install: they're downloaded with the tool that ships
them (npm, pip, rustup, go).
- Git and GitHub, when you fetch, pull or push, or open a pull request: through your own
git and gh, with your own credentials.
- Links you open, in your browser.
What stays on your computer
Settings, sessions, unsaved work and the local history of your files are kept in Null's own folders on your
computer (~/Library/Application Support/Null, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Null or
~/.local/share/null) and nowhere else.
